Cathy Ann Ball, VMD, MS

Dr. Ball directs all on-site study monitoring to ensure exact protocol and regulatory compliance.  She has more than 25 years of industry, hands-on veterinary care, and clinical research experience.  Her clinical research experience includes project management and clinical roles in proof-of-concept and pivotal trials of pharmaceuticals, biologics, and devices for cattle, sheep, horses, swine, poultry, dogs, and cats.  Dr. Ball has multiple product registrations in the US, Europe, and Australia.

Dr. Ball also has served as a supervising veterinarian for the New York Gaming Commission and as an examining veterinarian for the New Jersey Racing Commission.  For the last 10 years, Dr. Ball has been the swine judge at Rutgers University’s Agricultural Field Day.

Dr. Ball is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the National Scientific Research Society (Alpha Zeta), and the National Honor and Service Fraternity (Sigma Xi).  Dr. Ball is widely published and has presented frequently at industry and scientific meetings.

Dr. Ball received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and her Master of Science in Physiology from Rutgers University.  She received her Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Ball continues to provide routine and emergency care at a number of racetracks, to large and small animal clients, and to her own horse, three Australian Shepherds, two cats, and four hens.
